I did not buy it from you. It was bought from Steve Casper in KC Missouri. He did a GT conversion on it. I think he bought it from Jim not from you but was not sure. It may not be the same car since it did not have the racing pedals. It does have brown leather interior.

Yah, I sold it to a guy named steve I believe his name was StevePHD or something similar on Rennlist.... take the clutch/brake pedal pad off and see if theres holes under the pads...
It was an 81 931... I dont think I have the vin anymore...
If its the car I had, I bought it sight unseen from Jim, drove it home from Hayward to LA in 5hrs 15min (a 7hr drive with a "normal" car) if its the same car, I can verify it will do an honest 150mph (indicated) hahaha...
It had Yoko tires on it when I sold it, and phone dials.
I have lots more pics of it on my other PC...
My car had weltmeister sway bars, koni yellows all around, it had (IIRC) an alpine stereo with digital read out and (2) *****.
It was upgraded to Euro 931 spec on the waste gate and ignition, and was purported to make 180HP at the wheels.
I'd love to know if it was the same car. I really have no way of knowign without the VIN, but if its an 81 931 with konis and weltmeisters, from a guy named Steve, its gotta be close...

Howdy!
Hey, I talked to Steve (PorschePHD) and he said he sold it to a dude that lives in your town...Its gotta be the same car.
He said he made it into a 937 replica, is yours a 937 replica now?
If it is, I have a nice little toy you'd like to have to go with it, a new unstamped OEM 937 owners manual (says Carrera GT on the cover with a 937, black and silver cover) Its brand new, never stamped by anyone for any reason, would be the PERFECT show piece for a PERFECT Faux-937!!!
Anyway as far as when I had it, it gave me no problems.
I only sold it because as you can see in the pics I live in the dez. It had way too nice of paint to keep it in this sandblasting area. I felt bad cuz I lived down a 1/2mile dirt road, I spent every weekend under the car keeping it as clean as I could (I used to have a pit in my old shop)...
I used Mobil 1 15-40w and changed it after 3000 miles. I don't know for sure, but I think I only put around 4500 miles on the car, but I daily drove it for a couple months so it could be a little more. There was no honda or E36 BMW safe from the 931
That car hauled ***** cuz it had the stiffer IC spring and other Euro 931 upgrades, but it would heat soak in traffic. Out in the mountains (Angeles Crest/Forest... mmmmm those pedals were there for real heel-toe work, not looks!) it was a LOT faster cuz you never came to a stop and let heat build up. I can only imagine how quick it is w/an intercooler on it now...
When I bought it I picked it up sight unseen from J. Pasha, paid the $$$ and got on the freeway, it had new yokos on it (3-4 days old) and was all checked out by me and him, safe and ready to go.
My pal and I went from Hayward on the 880 down to the I-5 and into the high desert in 5hrs 15mins with 2 stops for gas... This was of course in a dream I had I reality it took 7hrs and we drove 65mph...
I raced a ferrari 308 down the mountain with it once, got smoked on the straights but could out corner/stop the ferrari... Turns out the 308 was driven by a lady with a kid in the car...so maybe it wasn't that impressive haha.
All in all the car was great... I wish I knew if I had a VIN # around here, but I sold it to PorschePHD for sure.
Much love, thanks for the response, small world if its the same car...

It is the same car then. I bought it from Steve who owns Imagine auto. He had built it into a 937 replica for his wife to drive and was a bit hard for her without power steering. I bought it about 3 or 4 years ago and it has been in the garage ever since. I took it to the Porsche Parade Concour in FT Worth and won my class, very pristine example to win there. It doesn't get out much but is fun to drive when I do, it is a real attention getter since most people have never seen a 937. If you would like pm me your email and I can send you some pictures of what it looks like now. If I were better at sizing the pictures down I would put them up here.
Thanks for the info it's nice to know a little more history about the car and where it's been.

Crazy man... For sure!!!
I'll send you a PM... Its weird to look at your avatar and think: I used to drive that exact car! hahaha. Even weirder is Ive always wanted a White 937 and I too was gonna try to convert it (I had the flares and had a line on an IC for $400 in germany)
Here's the ONLY picture I have of ME with the car...
Excellent. Take care of "my" baby... She's been thru 5 owners now! Maybe someday I can see her again for a little rendevous

Two 931's here, 81 and 82, Diamond Silver/Meteor Gray and Indiana Red/Gobi Beige respectively. One's mine, one's hers, until it breaks, then it's mine again, until it's fixed.
Edit: I've decided to do a Carrera GT body conversion on the 82, along with EFI. So I guess that makes her's mine for a while.

Former Vendor
Here's what I have:
1981 NA, well sorted, mostly stock
1980 931 with 944 body kit, mostly sorted
1980 931 with ultra wide body kit, in pieces being converted to a blown & stroked street monster
1987 924S, well sorted, just acquired
1980 928 Euro, mostly sorted and running in stock form, but with a "stuttgart special" sitting in a crate waiting to be assembled and installed
1981 Weissach Special Edition, sold to my nephew
1980 931, parts donor for the ultra wide body project
(sorry no pic, but it wouldn't be worth it anyway!)
