Race Car
mavfan, I know that the special edition had factory manual moon roof, manual windows, and wider/deeper offset rear wheels. It is a lighter weight 924s to enhance an already good performer. Me, I have a 87 24s 56k original miles, no sunroof, india red w/ 16' boxster techquipment wheels(also a set of 928 forged alloys as well as stock phone dials)a/c, ps,-daily driver. Your special edition is a neat car. 88 model year only I think.

Saw a fellow racer's post above. I have an 87 924S which has been campaigned quite successfully as a 944spec car in SoCal NASA, POC, and PCA racing. They call it the Zebra. It just won the Baja California, Mexico Road Racing Championship in category "C" and the overall Series Points Championship, as well. Not bad for an old street car..........
PS. What the heck front spoiler is on that white, Romanian 924S 2 posts above this one? I dig that piece! Source it?

I just found an 88 924S here in San Diego. That would include the short 5th gear AND the high compression pistons. Now where the hell am I going to put it. I have 3 chassis' here right now.........Anybody want to buy a 944 spec car? LOL?
