Uhh... what is that for? Filter the incoming air in the cabin? Strange.

That's awesome. A great addition to the growing list of KLA products for our cars. Great idea and it looks really well done.

I made a set for my old 1989 S2 (now Pete's) I took some scraps from a WEB furnace filter and wired them to the cabin air intake grills. Worked fine, cost $0. I should do my other cars, they seemed to help as leaves and stuff can collect in that area and would be blown out the air vents without them. In fact I made the filters to cut down on the number of small bits that would come flying out of the vents when I cranked up the AC. They might be pointless on my cabrio but I bet it would help the 928 stay cleaner inside.

KLA's are nicer and probably work better, but I was happy with my results.

Pete you might want to clean those filters in a year or two, just clip the wire, wash the foam, let them dry, and wire them back on. The stock grills just pop off.

I think I'll get a pair asap!
Just a question though, is there any reason, other than simplicity, for making it "slide in" instead of a direct replacement for the stock cover?

Bill, look at the installation notes to see pics of where it goes.

Step 1 should say, plastic will break so be prepared to buy another one or live without it.

Hey, the KLA strutbrace...does it affect the hood in anyway? Denting, or pushing against it? (dont mean to hijack the thread)

I don't know about everyone else but, the strutbar doesn't affect the hood in any way on my car, although I take extra care when I close it just in case.
