Default Audi V-8

Has anyone ever dropped an Audi V-8 into a 944? Seems that this would be an interesting conversion. Quad cam, VVT, COP, sequential FI and ignition. 350+ horse...gives about a 10:1 pwr to weight ratio which this car should really have. Bell housing and clutch arrangement might be interesting as well. sounds like a "project"..Looks like it would fit....hmmmm.

The Audi V8 is too wide for the 944, but you can fit anything to anything if you are prepared to modify sheet metal. If you were going to bother with all the effort though, use an RS4 spec engine. Its 420hp stock with 8250 rev limit.

No I5 sounds as good as my RS4 at 8000rpm!

The problem is it is 90 degree with tall heads. Does not drop in. But anything is doable.
