Default New to me '89 S2, 90k miles, slim maintanence history - what maintenance should I do?

1. Timing chain
2. Water pump
3. Belts
4. Motor mounts (I know they need these)
5. Tranny mounts (because I'm going to do the motor)
6. Fuel filter (because I'll be back there for the trans mount anyway)

Fluids replaced, check hoses and replace as needed. Am I missing anything?

I would carefully inspect all rubber hoses checking for cracks and hardness.

All the fuel hoses in the engine bay...from fuel hard lines to rail, and from rail to damper.
Air filter

This is what I did on my S2. Use it as a guide, and if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask. https://rennlist.com/forums/924-931-...lar-order.html

Maybe it was implied, but just wanted to clarify.
Some say tensioners get weak with age but at only 90K I wouldn't think. Not easy to test and mucho $$ to replace, so judgement call.

Oh and congrats, I just picked up one myself a few weeks ago
1-4 were done on mine fairly recently, not sure about 5&6 though...

Replace the chain with the cam pads, its $25 and prevents lunching a cam gear via chain stretch.
