Belt tensioner wrench(s) & Bal. Shaft tool ?'s Help wanted!

I am gearing up to change the belts on my 84' and on a recently
aquired 86' 951 engined 83' Callaway 944(I'll post pics soon). My questions are these: what do you all use for the belt tensioner eccentrics to move them to either tighten or loosen belt? I was looking at the Baum tool #: 9244 (24mm wrench) or a Snap-on slimline 21/24mm combo open wrench. The Baum looks be non-linear in shaft design whereas the Snap-on is but with a 15deg head tilt. Also do I need the Baum tool#: 9244A (27mm) for the 86' or is it 24mm as well? Furthermore, can I get by with just a plain jane 24mm or 15/16" wrench or 27mm-1 1/16" if needed?
Also in regards to the Balance Shaft Spanner #9200 wrench is it neccessary? Can I use an adjustable or fixed spanner wrench (crescent shaped with a tooth hanging down from the top) that fits around the gear to hold the shaft while loosening and tightening the retaining bolt? I will not kid myself, if I need to buy these tools I most certainly will, but I wanted to get some feedback from all you belt changing gurus out there first seeings how most of you are very ingenuitive.

I used a BACO adjustible wrench to turn the eccentric rollers and used a self made tool to hold the balance shaft belts.
In my opinion you don't really need special tools to do the belts. Although access is bad, removing the radiator fan gives you some more space to work in.

I have a self made spanner also. It has a pivot point at the back end.. Other words adjustable. I placed an O-ring around it to hold the halves in place so I could let go and not have it fall out of the pin holes. I slightly tighten the lock bolt on the eccentric so it still turns and does not slip then use a snap on adjustable wrench to move the eccentric to where i want it. and then use a deep well socket to tighten the lock bolt while holding the eccentric.. This gets me by the thicker adjustable. The idea of snugging the eccentric first is that it is less likely to move on the final tighten.. I think the most important thing is spend the money on a good torque wrench that will fit your deep well socket.. sizes? I can not remember exactly but all were deep well 6 point sockets. Good luck it is not all that hard just go slow. Get a flywheel lock..

I haven't used them yet, but I bought these. The quality is not as high as the commercially available pieces, but these look like they will certainly work well enough and for a lot less money.

Hey thank you everyone! Sorry Michelle I was unable to check the list here before now (I was at work). A special thank you to you Michelle, I would have certainly taken you up on it. Geo, I looked through that site and I may go with some of the tools there. I did buy a flywheel lock from 944Racing when I got the rest of my parts. I will keep you all posted.

I just got a couple spanner wrenches from the Mac guy for my coilvers, they weren't cheap .. $70 a piece, but they're nice, industrial finish, heavy metal pieces. If you want to borrow one just lemme know

Hey Chris that would be cool! Yeah I wish I could have caught her in time. Oh well, I am going to make one here Monday with a 10 inch handle, or longer...I have a 4ft piece of 0.5" square stock to work with. Hopefully by Haloween I will have my car back together along with the Callaway.
