Default Suggestions for block with bad cylinder taper

Bad news, my bores have a .08-.010" taper in all 4 cylinders. It's a group 1 block, and I have a set of like new group 1 turbo pistons. I can't afford to bore the block out and buy new oversize pistons.

Does anyone near Austin, Tx have a group 1 block with low miles/one with KNOWN (measured) good bores?

I'd prefer an 86 or 85.5 block.

that's a lot of taper. sure that's not in MM?

one of the sleeved blocks i had, had 0.005" taper and the shop said to get straight bores would require minimum of 0.020" (0.5mm) over-bore.

maybe better to find a group 0 block and use your hone to fit the group 1 pistons.

This block would need .030" over to get straight walls. I'm a little disappointed that I spent the time and money to hone the bores and get them perfectly finished only to find out after the fact that the bores are way out of spec.

I bought a factory remanufactured short block a few years back. PN 944 100 902 01 CRV
Look it up in PET. It should work and it's complete. Bolt on your head + and plug & play.
I don't know what your budget is but this might be a good option.
I need 2500.00 for it + ship. It's crated and ready to ship.
PM an email address & I'll send a picture.
Let me know
Steve
