DON'T BUY - Updated on Post #38 - "Lseat" Leather Seat Covers - installed with pics
UPDATE IN 2019:
Ripped leather failure. Cheap quality. Check post #38.
Don't buy.
After a few problems with the company, I got my new leather seat covers installed. They are from lseat.com . It was a blast installing these things but took a lot of time and patience. They aren't perfect, but they are real leather and far better than my old, worn, ripped leather. Some won't like the bunching, which seems consistent with this brand, but they're a good deal for well under $400 for the stock factory design (ie correct stitching pattern with silver grey stitching, perforated inserts, piping line, etc).
I'm pretty satisfied with the new seat covers and I'm confident that they will look better and better over time. After all, they are comfortable to sit and drive in.
Thoughts? Opinions?
Thanks.

Thanks for posting up the pics and your thoughts. My seats are in need of some help as well and I'm torn between L-Seat leather or Only 944 vinyl. I don't have the patience to install them myself so I was going to have a local recommended upholstery shop do it for me. Plus the leather has bonded to the foam on my seats and will tear the foam when removing the current covers so they can take care of that as well.

I appreciate the comments. If you don't do the installation yourself you could save 20-40 hours of your time. As for the bunching, that's a good idea. Some sun and time would do these well, but without a good place to leave the seats and without good weather, I've installed them in the car for now.
You guys think I should work on them a little more or would you be ok with how they are now?
thanks

Do they make burgundy covers? I think these look awesome. For under $400 I want a set!

Was wondering about the steam. I have a mini travel iron that has steam capabilities, and is perfect for the job. However, my thoughts are that steam shrinks the leather by drawing out oils from the leather and perhaps preservatives, while heat without steam softens the leather and maybe resets its shape a bit. Is this right? I would think the steam might have long-term consequences, but not sure.
Also, would any leather conditioner, dye, or shine be a good idea at this point?
I could dye them a darker black, and/or give them a satin sheen like the stock seats. This would all be in an effort to make them even closer to stock.
There's this product below, but I'm really hesitant to do anything drastic like this.

I'll post some pics of them in the car. I think not bad for my first go at any kind of upholstery work. Crappy cell phone camera pics incoming:
Old driver seat was ripped and gone, but I saved it in case someone could use the material per section or perhaps patching.
Passenger seat was in good/great condition and can easily be swapped to a driver side so I have saved the material.

Hey Lart- not seeing those on either your ebay store, web site or facebook page. Where could one buy a set, and do you offer them in brown for early sport seats, and as a single seat (rather than the pair)?
