the Porsche v8 engine is so smooth. won't eat motor mounts like the four banger....

but you'll spend 1 million dollars fitting it in a 944, and another 200,000 or so maintaning it.

A dead nuts reliable, chain driven cam-in-block V8 with great flowing heads that's compact and light for it's power output and has stump pulling torque off idle, all while still delivering very acceptable fuel mileage.
to top things off,

my car is so quiet - now that we installed bolts to join the headers to the main pipes. then, when you give it the gas, the American v8 sound comes alive. sooooo good.

xchgh....in short, no, it won't work.

besides, a US spec 928S engine is about 600lbs and 240hp...
you could put in a 944 turbo S engine in much easier, have more power, and save 200+ lbs.

there is only 1 family of engines that works as an install solution for our gunkwerks motors unibody tubs.

it's as ironic as it is iconic.... it's made in Detroit by General Goodwrench.

the **** hater is here... but it don't change what the truth is.

for openers, how 'bout an ecm made in the this century....

damn motors run so good you'll feel like you won the lottery every time you get behind the wheel and shift into gear.

i drive her easy 99.8% of the time.... after the light changes, the car just glides up to 40, 45, 50 mph effortlessly.

but going normal, you find yourself grinning, giggling and saying silly things to yourself....

take the other night....

a guy in an Evo wanted to race 6.35 liters on some freeway that shall remain nameless...

in a few seconds i noticed i we were topping one sitttty five.... (and i hadn't even shifted into high gear).

except, i look in the mirror and whhoooooopppppp - no Evo.

turns out, i blew his doors off.

bring the **** fanboy hater.

.
That looks and sounds Neat, the install, motor and Evo blast!

you're right on time. people who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones... speaking of glass houses, is that so-called amazing engine you're building running yet? or should we finally rename it the Spruce Goose of the Turbo 4 banger world... or to rob a line from Days of Thunder (another great Mr. Goodwrench triumph) "we're looking for a little speed out of this thing..." what are we, bumping up on 9 years? maybe better to just send an Evo engine parcel post and have you fab up some engine mounts and a bellhousing with that rad TIG welder (of yours).

If it would be set as a time competition it would run before you ever knew this forum existed. It is not however.
