It's less than 4" high as I recall...but not by much, maybe 3.75 or 3.875" high, and about 13.5" long.

If you want a cheap clear lens and don't mind putting some time in (cutting and sanding and cleaning), the parking light (NOT the headlight) lens off a GMT400 truck (Chevy, GMC 90s pickups/SUV) found on eBay is just about perfect for the opening.

see below for my project...

I looked into the Chevy light conversion for the 951 fogs back when I almost ran my 951 bumper (btw someone please make me an offer on it)... let us know how it goes, it would be a great/cheap alternative to the overpriced OE parts.

JUst to reiterate...the lenses I mentioned are for the parking lights, not the headlights.
And you just use the clear lens, not the reflector section.

The old 951 mod was to try to put the headlights in that spot.

I remember that old mod, don't think it ever got popular? I'm trying to go all LED with my 951, I know LED kits are available for the c/k1500 parking lights. In standard trim on the trucks, what kind of bulb goes in there? I assume something low wattage? What would be the point for a 951 owner wanting to stick with halogen bulbs, can you stick an H3 or something in there?

The problem with the GMT400 parking light reflector is that it's not made to put any light down the road - just to spread out the light from the low-wattage bulb to make those lights visible to other drivers.

You buy the GMT400 parking lights and remove the reflector part entirely - all you salvage is the clear lens, to make fit onto your Porsche fog housing.
That said, the GMT400 lens is fairly flat while the Porsche fog light is wedge shaped so you can either have the GMT lens sitting vertical and recessed in the Porsche bumper, or you can find a way to mount the GMT at an angle.

*edit* oh damn !
