Does it smoke trough those cracks? if they are just surface cracks leave them be.
That poster looks awesome, and the car in it as well...tho its an US spec car..
One of these days i'll find myself a nice little 2L NA to enjoy.

Great eyes J1, I didn't catch that.

-Slow at work today, so took the day off and was granted permission to pull Gramps in and get to work. Had all the parts I needed. tow it in. Lift it high. Sort out the clutch components. The original pilot bearing looked good & still had grease. Mixed & matched clutch parts. All looked decent and the movement was smooth from the lever in the "new" bellhousing. mig welded the tip (nose) of the input shaft and rigged up a system where I was able to rotate the driveshaft on the bench grinder until it seemed proper (the replacement TT has smooth bearings but the nose was really worn). Install TT after dropping the rear suspension and torsion bar assembly. Had to detached the rear brake lines again. Shifter installed. The "new" shifter linkage has wear but it should do for now. Managed to arrange a trailer tow package to move Gramps to Okotoks (my home out in the sticks - sort of). Parked him on the street with a license plate on him for now.
To do: Finish up with the 944 tomorrow so I can get Gramps in the garage & the 944 onto the street.

Dear Noah: I don't know what kind of a welder you are, but I would use a cast iron rod ...brazing works, but there are also some exhaust crack putties that are designed for this purpose...The one i"m familiar with is supposed to stand up to 2000 degrees F. Costs about 8-10 USD. Check your local auto parts store. the one I'm familiar with is called "INFERNO" and is a nickson muffler product. Might save you mucho hassle..just a thought.
