I don't think the roof is attached yet on this one. The pics of the finished cars are just shown as examples of what this might become with a LOT of work.

DP Motorsports will still convert your current 944 to their seriously kickass wagen for $20k USD. That's a heavy investment for a ~30 year old sports car but if it was brown, you'd have the ultimate Jalop-wagen.

If it was pulled off correctly (not going to happen probably) I think it would be pretty cool with the right wheels. Like some 80s deep dish coke dealer rims.

The DP 924 CGT wagen is far and away my favorite iteration of the wagen. This car is the first time I've seen someone try to make a wagen in the States and I think it's a worthy idea. But I think the owner/builder realized pretty quickly he bit off more than he could chew and is just trying to cut and run. It would be interesting to head to the junkyard with a sawall and get the panels necessary to give it a try.

The price he's asking is just too high though. I can get a 944 in ok-to-hack-up condition and the roof/hatch of a 90s Golf for a third to a quarter of his price. Since it doesn't seem like the hard work is done already on this, I'm not sure where the value is.

8.5k for cut up pieces of two cars is a bit much imo.
