I do not believe saratoga makes them any longer...there was a guy ( a website) selling new ones....but there were alot of complaints on this forum about people who had ordered them but never received them.

They are very often on ebay and seem to sell in the $600 range IIRC....

Good luck!

This site will be gone in about a week when I pull the plug on earthlink and move to my new "944fest.com" domain. For now, there is some info on Saratogas..

Below is my question and response from Toysforyourtoys re the glass roof:

Are these in stock and available for shipment for my 88 951? Thanks!

Hi there,

We currently are back-ordered and thus have a 4 to 6 week lead time. We apologize for these delays. Our next shipment is due, in this timeframe and we shall be filling orders thus. Hope this helps.

We here at ToysForYourToys want to thank you for stopping by. We look forward to seeing you again at the Website.

I inquired if the back order was always going to be the case, or if they would stock them. I received a reply from the above, but with no additional info...

I remember thinking that 250 was a lot for them when I got my first 944...if only I had known some sucker would pay 600 bucks.

Hey guys,

I got a Saratoga top, the second type with the holes in it that Dan P has illustrated with the link.

Anybody got a picture of the hardware? I'm guessing I could fabricate if need be. Unless anyone knows of another source?

Thanks

I'd don't think Toys for Tots has delivered one yet-I'd be shocked if the 4-6 week timeframe is anything but smoke and mirrors. I'd love to be proved wrong, this is a product that people want.
