Guys. I have two sets of seats that are cores. 1 set of early's and one set of late's. If you are interested, PM me..need to clean out my shop. They come with rails. The early's are pretty beat and will take foam. The late's are in pretty good shape, but need to be recovered. I've tried to rejuvinate the leather on them, but it's a no-go ...bought another set of sports for my project. Thaks

I did once see a set of early cloth sport seats (in good shape, too) on a Craigslist ad in New York for $100 but the seller refused to ship them. Whoever picked those up got one hell of a deal.

Your seats came out super nice!! The covers appear to be well made and they do fit very well! Very clean interior by the way!

Thank you, they really are very nice quality and I am starting to get used to the feel of the sport seats compared to the standard seats.

I once bought a set of regular early seats which had recently been recovered with one of those "high quality German vinyl" kits, this was 9 or 10 years ago. They felt really soft and plushy, which I didn't like, so I sold them immediately. I always thought that it was the dryness of the old vinyl (or especially leather) which made the seats firmer, so I've always preferred used replacement seats over the years. How do your recovered seats feel, compared to before?

They are softer, however they don't feel like normal vinyl as in rubbery or elastic. I think they will change once they are worn in a bit.
