if you want to send me yours, I will repair it for $15 plus $5 for insured shipping. Or even better, I will tell you how to fix your own for free. This assumes that your clock still functions (you can see numbers in certain lighting, but not at night)
1. Remove trim strip carefully.
2. Carefully pry wiring off the clock and lighter.
3. Remove 2 screws from back of clock.
4. Carefully turn small socket on the back of the clock, this is similar to a christmas tree bulb socket.
5. Either use a soldering iron to remove old bulb from socket, or simply trim the wires off with a small wire cutter.
6. Replace bulb, making sure to align wires in socket. These are grain-of-wheat bulbs, you can find them at any parts store.
7. Re-solder wires for professional quality work! Use a 10-15W iron, this is fairly delicate work.
8. Reassemble and enjoy being on time for a change.

When I changed the bulb in my clock I did not have to do and soldering at all. I just unscrewed the black chrismas tree bulb holder thingy and swapped the old bulb with the new one. Was pretty easy.

Sure. Go to Radio Shack, get an adhesive backed one for $10, and stick it over the one that doesn't work!

Revival....
My clock works fine during the day, but does not light up at night. I have replaced the bulb with a new one with holder from the dealer, after the $2 parts store one wouldn't make good contact in the old holder. It appears I have 12 volts across the terminals, but still no light. Have not taken the clock apart yet, but has anyone had this happen to them, and if so, what should I be looking for inside? Very little solder experience, so hesitant to start digging around....
