First off StoogeMoe... your screen name: WIN :-)

I will do that search. Thanks for the words of encouragement. It's nice to know there is a light close to my end of the tunnel.
I'll do the research and git 'r done.

The injectors are on their way to Warren Fuel Injection
They were nice on the phone, $24.95 an injector, and I am stoked to have fresh injectors.

And more progress...
The camshaft housing is now on the bench.
Next to remove the sprocket and ends and clean her up.
Oops, half the lifter fell out.
I fitted them back in, in relation to where they landed.
They all are moving smoothly in their holes.
I hope I got them right.
I've been keeping a close eye on the camshaft to ensure it doesn't turn.
It has turn just the smallest amounts but I keep turning it back so the marks line up.
I think I need to drain the coolant before I try to remove the heater core rail.

I'll be very interested in knowing how well that muffler and cat fit, as they are on my list as well.

Tempest, I'll totally let you know.
I have high hopes.

Also,
I was under the car yesterday.
I had rags cleaning up years of oily grime off of the crank case and other parts.
I then travelled back along the exhaust taking a look at the mounting gear.
The rubber and brackets looked good.
There is some surface rust on the bottom of the car.
It's above the heat shield, above the catalytic converter.
I can't wait to clean it up and make the underside of my car happy.

Also,
One of my CV joints is weeping the greasy goodness that should be inside it.
After I get the exhaust off I will pull those as well.
Time to look up CV Joint rebuild on http://www.clarks-garage.com

Another day, another adventure...

Does anyone know what this hole is next to where the starter mounts?
Does it have a cover?

Trying to drill out the head of the crankshaft sprocket bolt didn't go so well.
I drilled a lot, the head of the bolt is very hollow and now I will get some help.
I at least got the back end lid and the piece of timing belt cover off of it.

I got the heater's water pipe off

I get the exhaust manifold off

I inspected the exhaust mounting hardware and rubber. It looks good

The more parts I remove, the more I clean off the grime.
I'm coming to realize that it wasn't dark in the engine compartment, It was all the years of grime.
She's looking great and I'm going to keep her that way.

When you put the cam tower back on, keep lifters in their original holes and an easy way to put the cam back on without the lifters falling out: Get a stiff piece of cardboard to hold the lifters in while you rotate the tower into position then after you start a couple of bolts to hold the tower in position, pull the cardboard out.

That hole next to the starter you're talking about is the clutch inspection port. It came from the factory with a dust cap, but from what I've read on here it seems like a lot have gone missing over the years.

You can use that portal to check the clutch wear:

BTW, cracking job so far! Good work!

LOL, ok Tiger you're gonna laugh.

After looking at my pictures a little more I thought the same thing.
The rubber is all cracked and looking a bit shabby.
I found the rubber pieces and gaskets listed on AutoAtlanta for a decent price.
I'm holding off on ordering them till I get all of the pieces off in case I find anything else.

Update.
- Camshaft housing is completely disassembled
- The fellas at Gerber Motorsports helped remove the camshaft sprocket bolt. Only a part or two need replacing
- Exhaust removed
- Exhaust hardware removed and inspected closer. Only need the Rubber mounts need to be replaced
- The ceramic part of the emissions wire plug crumbled. I'll replace the wiring
- Found a leaky CV Joint. I will find a couple rebuild kits tomorrow
