Feeling good, feeling motivated. Was in a bit of a "low" (with my recent 924 purchase distracting me & with trying to part out my car, but having things not entirely going my way)... but now I'm back on track. Wilson's engine compartment is nice & tidy & hasn't looked better. Tomorrow I will make the exhaust happen.

I actually own a 100% complete 16 "S" exhaust I was thinking of running.
I have a million different ideas for running exhaust.
This is a semi-daily driver/back road burner and head turner and canyon carver & auto cross competitor.
What the exhaust becomes... we'll just have to see.

Dear Noah: do they test emissions up there? So, just because there is a cat in the system when the car arrived, does it have to be on there now? If you don't have emissions testing, and the cat must be there for appearances , just run a long rod down through it and bust up and clean out all the offending blockages. I don't know how loud a muffler the Dansk system is, but sometimes an empty cat can help cut out the drone...

Thanks Tiger,
Though I haven't run the cat delete with the Dansk muffler before, I suspect it will have drone, as I did experience it with the cat delete & oem muffler). Thank you for your suggestion.
In Canada, some provinces do emissions testing. The law in our province of Alberta is not enforced at this time and in Alberta we do not have actual testing.
.... yes, is some areas we are a lawless bunch... pure anarchy some say.
I actually thought about running with a cat again. But in my comparison of the exhaust weight (the "S" stuff vs Wilson's stuff), I just couldn't do it. The OEM exhaust with the cat & 2 muffler must be 30 lbs heavier man.

ODE TO OEM:
When my car had racing performance parts it never light to start & run until it warmed up. On a cool fall or spring day, it ran rough until warm. On a warm winter day, I would need to manipulate the throttle so it doesn't die. That means trying to fit my *** in the racing seat & half the time I am in greasy coveralls & boots just trying to warm the car up for when I'm ready to go home after a shift.
This is one of the reasons why I thought bought buying another car for DD. With the changing economy and other considerations, as many of you know, I have sold (about $5000 worth) many high end suspension & engine parts.
WHY?
Good question. Answer: because I was planning on selling WIlson completely. And replacing him witgh a stock 924/944/951.... all stock to the eyes expect rubber & suspension.
BUT when I put the car back together with a factory spec rebuilt head & oem exhaust manifold, regular/straight woodruff key in the timing gear and original factory DME/ECM. I found the car is AMAZING. The car fires right up & is now parked outside in winter. It fires right up & runs great. The driving experience is not lack-luster. Yes it's only 160ish HP, but the broad powerband is a REAL JOY. Now it doesn't kick me back in the seat like it's former self, but to me, I will enjoy it for what it is... and it reminds me how much I enjoyed the OEM power band when I first got the car. SO, that's all I have to say... well done Porsche!

WILSON'S FUTURE
I posted the car up for sale locally & got some quick serious responses...
but then I bugged out & pulled the ad. NO. You CAN'T HAVE MY CAR. FXXXK XFF.
Wilson is a general duty, kick *** car. I was on the fence before, do I lower? Do I lift?
Neither. Stock height for now. Replace the shocks & struts, get an alignment. Replace worn swaybar rummer bushings... and improve driving technique.
I will build an engine pan protector & try some Rallies this summer. And definatly continue the autox action.
