Angry Okay Fellas, I DID Destroy My DME Chip.

Hey guys, some might remember me as the one with the starting problems, turns out my chip was in backwards. I did in fact fry my chip, sure the car will start, but when I put it in gear, her DME makes these weird noises, not to mention that she idles really really rough at 1krpm.
So, I am going to need a set of temporary chips for an 89 951.
Thanks a lot for your time. I am going to need them at my house, and in my car by this Wednesday. (I'll pay for the next day air)

I don't recall anyone saying that when they had their chip in backwards, it caused any problems. I could be wrong. I know you've been playing with other stuff to try to get it to run, I'd go back and do a good check of anything you messed with or anything that is next to what you messed with first. I am not ure what that DME noise would be, I'd say more of a DME problem than a chip problem tho. Good Luck man.

Hey man, the reason I think it's my chip is beacsuse someone came down yesterday with a DME, with weltmeister chips, and turned on my car. The car wasn't idling the same way it was with my DME. Someone told me that when you put them in backwards, the Power/Ground connnectios get reversed, and it'll lead to a messed up chip.

I have a set of Weltmeister chips sitting around, altho I am pretty sure I have them sold. Let me check with the guy who was interested in them, if they are still available, I will let you know.
