Default 26 year old exhaust system?

Just curious to know how many owners still have their original factory fit exhaust system fitted .
I must admit that my car has only covered 68K and is only driven in good weather but coming from England where the weather is not good most of the time this is very impressive build quality.

As far as I know, I still have the original exhaust. I haven't changed it in the 15 years I have owned the car and it looked original when I bought it.

living in CA surely helps but ive seen a lot of cars from all over the place and don't think ive seen a rusty muffler or really seriously rusted pipes aside from minor surface stuff.

Never seen a 944 exhaust rust out, mine is a New England car (relocated to TX) and is original except for an aftermarket muffler and cat delete. OE muffler is still in excellent shape after 32 years.

All four of my 944's have the original exhaust system other than the 85.1. It is all original with the exception of the catalytic converter. It has been replaced with a crappy aftermarket unit that has broken apart and is rattling. I will replace it this summer. I have even thought about buying another used original exhaust system and replacing the 85.1's exhaust.

I can only presume that mine is original, or was replaced with original parts. Mine's an '83 with 157K on the odometer...it still looks good except for the chrome tip. which I will replace..no rust holes and still has paint on it...a clean up and more paint to make it look better...Tiger 03447
