I saw an add for that one in the paper. Try the Bavarian Rocket Scientists, they are expensive but know the cars insideout. http://www.bavarianrocketscience.com

Mike, I have been going to Rennwerke Porsche for 7 years .... and I have been very happy.
944Maineiac, give Rick Dobush at R&D Automotive a call at 518-598-1273 or email at rdobush@aol.com. He is in Albany. Rick has been very helpful at the track to me in the past .. he is extremely knowledable, and very involved in PCA. I would go to him if he was closer to me.

944,
I would highly recommend Quality Foreign in Ballston Spa. It's a hole in the wall place, but they do excellent work, have very fair prices, and get things done in a timely fashion.
I would not go to R&D. I have brought my car there twice, and both times I was extremely disappointed with the cost and the quality of their service, not to mention the time required. The first time that I brought the car in, I requested a full inspection, to determine what the car needed to serve as my daily driver/ weekend track rat. Needless to say, I walked out $1400 lighter. No complaints. Aside from the fact that the work required 2 weeks.
Figuring that the car was in good shape, I scheduled a pre-track inspection with them for the week before the event. The weekend before I decided to bleed the brakes. During the bleed, I discovered that the rear brakes weren't getting fluid, and the clutch master cylinder was leaking. You'd think this would be pretty obvious to someone inspecting a car for track use.
So, I brought the car in on Monday, and asked if they could have it ready for Saturday's event. "No, problem". Well, to the best of my knowledge, they didn't start work on the car until Wednesday. On Wednesday afternoon, I was told that I needed new brake lines in addition to the clutch MC. On Thursday, afternoon, it was determined that I also needed a new brake MC, which they could have by noon on Friday.
Now, I might be more picky than most, but having my car at the shop until 5 pm, the night before an event, is not incredibly reassuring. Needless to say, I picked my car up Friday morning, after calling Paragon on Thursday for the overnight of a brake MC. They even had the gall to offer me a brake MC for $225. Paragon was $180 including $30 for next day air.
Sorry for the epic, but I can't stress enough that these guys are not worth it, especially for any type of inspection.
Experiences in the area are very similiar. Everyone goes to them, gets burned, and never returns.

Haven't caught you, lately. Leda's are ordered, and everything will be here in October. Should I call R&D and have them install everything? ;-)
