Default Coatings to reduce heat inside a race car?

I finally stripped my 951 bare yesterday. I live in texas and my car is dark blue, is there any kind of coating or finish I can put on the inside of the pan to help keep temps in check, or is it just going to be a miserably hot car?

I'm in the car now with my angle grinder attacking rust and seeing how much material I have to work with, if I'll have to weld in any patches, ect. I'm sweating my ***** off with the doors, the roof, and the hatch open.

I'm in WI, so no personal experience with the stuff, but Lizard Skin or Hy-Tech coatings.

I'm a fan of the DIY approach.

Aluminium foil and glass fibre sheeting. Layered, then stitched together.
(I cut the bottom layer of aluminum foil sheet about 1" bigger than the rest so I can fold it over the outside.
Lightweight and flameproof.

^ That would work great around the torque tube tunnel.

Doug, you should paint your entire car chrome, it would reflect almost all sunlight and win your points with the local homeboys...

^LOL, the mental image of that made me crack up. I was going to paint the inside white along the same idea, but I'm worried about glare. Guess I could just use a flat paint.

go to home depot/lowes and buy a roll of the insulation that is bubblewrap between 2 layers of foil.
corvette guys use the stuff to line their torque tube tunnels to keep temps down. they just spray-glue it in place. you can buy foil seam tape as well next to it.

stuff weighs nothing and is about 24$ for enough material for at least 2 cars.

its the same material those shiny foldy windshield shades are made of.

i'd then cover that with some darker fabric layer, felt or something thats lightweight but will block all the shiny.
