Default Spoiler/trunk leak on right (passenger's) side

I sealed (w/silicon) as best I could the area on the spoiler near the drain hole that was starting to lift up. When I did a water test on it (had a buddy pour water on the back window, the leak was still there.

Specifically it's on the right (passenger's) side just to the left (in the pic) of the white horizontal plastic cylinder where there's a vertical factory circle cutout in the body.

Fixing the leak, if straightforward, would be great but I never cared much for the design that "traps" the water in such a fashion then relys on drainage.

If I were to unscrew/remove the spoiler (I doubt I'll be going over 100 mph anyway), would that open me up for more leaks?

I'd like to add a wing if anyone can recommend one since I don't like the look of the spoiler delete on a 944.

Please add a picture...
But I've found the hatch stops leaking if you tighten the pins down all the way.
I had luck adding some universal peel-and-stick rubber seal on the hatch frame all around to add another layer of gasket too.

So what is causing this leak? Is it the rubber seal or the rubber wing? I too have this problem at the same location.

hatch seal has come off the corner or the rubber at the pin receiver is bad?

It doesn't appear that an unglued spoiler would have any affect on leaking. I ordered both the hatch pins and the hatch seal from only944 and will report if that fixes the problem

I found some have the leak between the class and its seal? Then it would be easy fix.
