Default Another junkyard find, 924 guys...get in there

As some of you might remember, I like to find things in junkyards. Today I found a 1978 Euro 924 with some cool things on it. First and foremost, I snagged the euro fogs I needed for my 924 GTS front end on my 944. $20 bucks for the pair done and done. Next up, I found a Zender rear spoiler...I had never seen one like this before. I took it for $22. It was in great shape and had all the hardware in tact. I also found stainless braided brake lines, $5. This 924 also had an aftermarket header I think...long tubes, 4-2-1 style. All the gauges were black with white hash marks and red in critical places. Speedo was in kph. Pretty little hot ride for back in the day, the period correct aftermarket stuff is really cool. Enjoy the pics.

Will a 924 Euro rear bumper fit a 944?

924 and 944 rear bumpers are shaped slightly different so it won't look good. the 944 ones are flared at the ends for the 944 flares. And the lights in the front bumper are park/driving lights, not fogs. they are the same as euro 944s. there are 2 types, a single bulb and a double bulb type. both types turn on as park light independently or with headlights on dip and on high beam the single bulb type goes brighter, the 2nd bulb turns on (double bulb type).

Cool thanks for the heads up. I needed euro lights for my cgts front end, the US ones don't work. I have yet to check if they're dual or single bulbs.

Is this in America?
Plenty of 924 guys looking for euro bumpers and euro spec parts...if thats an euro spec 924 in the US its worth buying whole and parting or why not, even restoring or turning into a racecar...125HP with little weight its not a bad car.

I know, I saw online that they had another 924 in..I thought it would've been just another typical car. I was going to pull a turbo to sell to someone for an upgrade on their Saab...I thought to myself, "You know, I'm just going to make my rounds and see what else I can find"...then I saw it's front end first....this was no normal 924. Then all this cool **** started happening...

Oh definitely, It was a bitchin ride back in it's time. I would've made an offer on the whole car but I have zero room for storage and due to my work I'm never home anymore. Aren't the pistons high(er) compression as well? There's still some neat stuff left on this car.

IF ANYONE IN CENTRAL TEXAS WANTS 924 EURO BUMPERS FOR ABOUT $90 OR ANYTHING ELSE OFF OF THIS CAR, I WILL GLADLY TELL YOU WHERE IT IS.

P.S....If you grab the bumpers, I will NOT be selling the Euro driving lights I took out of it. They fit perfect in my bumper

I wonder how much it would be to ship those up to Canada.
They would finish my early Euro car off. I would also need the struts that go with the bumpers.

Yeah it was a cool piece, but it showed its age. It needed refinishing and a nice ceramic coating

P.S. Everyone, I went back and picked up the bumpers for a major contributor in the 924 world. There's still some good euro parts on it though, happy picking.
