Default '86 Venturi delete help

I bought the Venturi delete from 944online.com. I have not received it yet but there didn't seem to be any directions on how to install it. Can someone two me or link me to a how to?

Is it just a matter of replacing hoses? Is it obvious what gets replaced? I know the Venturi comes out obviously.

i find it interesting that so many hose and vacuum line 'kits' come with no instructions or even diagrams. just a sh*tload of hoses.

Because it just adds more junk to a bunch of rubber mess under the intake and removing it causes zero issues. I still haven't found out why it was put there in the first place, some cars had it others didn't iirc depends on MY.

WYIT take all that fuel vent emissions mess out too. Feed the fuel vent line straight to the dirty side of the airbox and never look back.

Is there no other benefit to a venturi delete?

No I don't think so, it just makes things cleaner under there, which means less things to go wrong and easier access. Lots have done it and have noticed no functional difference in anything. Even Porsche removed them on the later cars, I cannot remember which MY's had them though. I know my 86's all had them at one time.

By deleting the two venturis, you essentially remove 6 [unnecessary] hose clamps, under the IM, from the over-engineered vacuum system.

Mike is correct, Porsche eliminated the venturis between MY87 and MY88.

I'm generally following the diagrams but I'm a little unclear on a couple items.

There seems to be two hoses that go into the Venturi. When the Venturi goes away there is still one hose coming off the j boot that was going to the Venturi that has now where to connect to. Do you just plug the boot for this hose.

Also the images I seeming of the hose in the Lindsey product coming off the brake booster looks much larger in diameter than the one I'm getting. Can someone explain?

Finally I've found on other threads talk about relocating the check valve. The kit doesn't come with a check valve. What is the story with that.

This is why I'm under the hood doing this right now.

HIJACK ALERT! In the attached picture in this post is a comparison of the new AOS hose and its grandfather underneath it still in the car. Is the leg of the new hose supposed to be that long? I feel the metal pipe would cover and hinder the operation of the check valve.
