Default Porsche 944 Luggage cover

Hello,

I have a 944 with the usual Retractable Rear Cargo Cover. As usual the retractable mechanism failed and I bought an used unit on eBay. Now this unit also failed. Does anyone know how to repair this units?
I've also seen on the internet that there is a cover that's not retractable but I couldn't find any information and I'm not sure if it's for the 928 or the 924/944/968. Does anyone know this?
Does anyone know where can I get either of this units, used, refurbished or new?
Is there anyone doing replicas of this units with donor parts?

Thank you

Igor

I've fixed a few, some stay fixed, some don't - the mechanism is like a window blind, the ends are easy to make out of aluminum

I currently have the car in the shop but as soon as I get it back I'll try it out and let you know.
Thanks again.

Joe Jackson makes some trick black alloy end caps. I used them on my car and they look like they will outlast religion, so shoot him off a PM if interested. I posted a thread about them when I installed them so search may bring that up
