good luck with that, i can't even find an LS1 for much under $2500 for a well-used stocker.

Truck LS (according to admiralkhole) is apparently the way to go... cheap! Easily under $3k

You can find ls based truck engines for dirt cheap...around $500. Rebuild kits are cheap too. Get some second hand parts, suddenly the swap becomes a little more attainable.

Anyone want to buy a complete lt1 swap?

This is at the top of the list of reasons why I wish I didn't live in CA, but I don't want to swap my car so bad that I would move to do it.

the biggest advantage at engine swap options IMO would be to gain displacement...going to a 1.6L, even boosted, is a big step backwards in driveability to me.

a supercharged mini is not a super-quick car, and they weigh about the same as a 944...and that engine is french IIRC, which might make the german components unhappy.

That SC mini engine is chrysler designed, its basicly a shrunken neon engine. They switched it up when they started making the Turbo minis, thats the french one i believe.

Have you driven one of these? I can't think of a single reason that would make me consider the swap.

Edit: holy crap, that price makes the suggestion worse. You can get a proven Chevy v8 for much less.
