OD, don't you think your 968 is fun to drive? That's what makes it all worth it. Like many others, I think driving my 951 is incredibly fun.

Frank Burns Eats Worms! Will be joining the Pelican Turkey run, while I am up there I will stop in and attempt to get some pics of this 924, and end this coffee clutch hopefully!

how many cars can turn out 400+HP, ~30mpg, and have torque curves that some diesels would envy?

definitely not your M5.

re: mustang, can you name another car that gives you 320HP, 30 mpg and those damn good looks for ~15000 euros?

Cmon..does the mustang really do 30mpg?
Fine it has that big raw torque...but so does the M5...and M3..and lets say a 1.9L diesel family car skoda fabia with a software tuning

However...its not all about the HP number...there are loads of faster cars than the mustang that make less power. Whats the point of having 400HP and eating all that fuel if a 200HP car is faster?

too much fuss and very thin margin for error that doesn't fit my lifestyle.... i'll continue to leave the deep wrenching to others.
That sums it up pretty well: a person who has NO experience at all or technical knowledge (just what he has read on the forums) spreads information in the internet.
Just for your interest: I have many friends with 911's who just happen to like to tinker with their car and they can afford pretty much any car they like. One for example uses Maybach for daily driver but hotrodded his 964, other is owner of IT company who financed Skype development (btw, did you know Skype's technical solutions were invented in Estonia?) and he supercharged his 993.

So don't spread your wrong knowledge everywhere and I suggest you should hang around on Pelican 911 forums so you can see that in these forums people really do things themselves.

It is completely understandable why your posts do not contain much useful technical information, you just don't have anything to contribute.

And then some smarta$$es dare to mention something about membership fee....I don't need any excuse to be here because it is not me who fills this forum with countless meaningless posts (take a look at the most prominent "empty-posters" (amber lens, odurandina) post count, gee...).

now don't get me wrong. not all Jaguars suck.

oh wait, yes the ones you named all do.... and most of the other ****boxes on your list.

A Mercedes Benz isn't so horrible, but comparing a Mercedes Benz or 996 to a Mustang ?? really ?

that's like comparing a Cayman R to a 1967 Corvair.

oh, and I want an evo cuz it handles better than a V8 Mustang!!

COME ON MAN !!

come to the Continental series race and watch the Mustangs on the track...

Dude, i'll take a V6 Mustang over half the cars you just named.

why? because even Mustang with a V6 is a cool car for cruising around in.

and guess what. I just drove one from New Jork to Florida in a V6.

it has very good power and gas mileage was about 26 mpg.

don't pass go. don't collect 200 dollars.

GO STRAIGHT TO JAIL.

It was a 5 minute search trough our local car selling page, I am not trying to buy anything.

US made 4.3l V6 is nice engine. If it is fitted in a boat not longer than 14ft. But then again companies go down under for using it. Omc for instance.

whether talking muscle car or faux muscle car rental cruiser or just a gift for wifey,

300 plus HP isn't an easy number to brush off for a base model car/rental !!!

some just don't want to accept what the Mustang is stating itself to be.

and the absence of what it's not claiming to be....

it's not a 911. nor a 5 series or banker's 7 series BMW. it's not the world's best handling GT car - and never claimed to be.

what it is - is a Mustang. and a hell of a lot of fun, power and good looks for not a lot of $$$.

I think the stripped-down-model seats, adjustability and position in the cockpit leave a good amount of room for improvement.

but I'm fine with the mix of old and new on the instrument panel. if I had one, I might be wishing for more leather.

and one way or other, make sure it got it.

still, overall, this has been a great for cruising around the Space Coast in the great, late fall Florida weather!!

http://www.autoblog.com/2013/06/10/2...ang-v6-review/

btw, I was just going by what I got for fuel consumption. LOL.

put on the stink eye all you want.

this car dressed up with the options is a perfectly nice, mechanically sound and extremely dependable ride.

I cant believe I'm saying it,

but this base-model Mustang motor would be absolutely fantastic in a 944/968.

would I buy this one over the big v8? prolly not. I'm a big v8 kind of guy.

still, I like this car a lot.

will the euro snobs ever admit this is a fully respectable base model car overall??

hell no. haters are gonna hate.

frankly, who cares.

oh, and while we're on the subject, when was the last time Ford stunk up the place

with a poorly made product that's constantly going back to the shop for repairs.............. or worse ??

how bout we ask VW Group that same question....

and i eagerly await to hear the RL Eurocrap apologist propaganda.

finally, the only gay Jap car piece of **** I'd ever be caught dead in - is a GTR.
