Default NO FUEL TO RAILS

okay so i have a early 1984 944 na and im getting no fuel pressure i replaced the dme relay cleaned the reference sensors(still no tac bounce but my tac rarely works so that may be why. I tested to see if any voltage was going to the fuel pump as sonmbody tried cranking it over and got 0's across the board. so then i took out my battey and used jumper cables to hook it up directly to the fuel pump and heard spinning. Im lost. and of course this all happens right after i paid for new tags anyways any suggestions?

If you havent already, first and easiest thing to check is battery cables at the terminals. How do they look?

Otherwise, what else can you tell us? Was it running before, etc? Sounds like your getting fuel, and youre probably getting air, so maybe youre spark is bad? Tell us more.

You have the correct relay...the 993 part superceded the 944 part several years ago.

There have been a few early-no start threads posted recently. Sounds like you've run leads directly from the battery to the pump, successfully. Have you tried to place a jumper between pin 30 and pin 87b to bypass the DME relay and send power directly to the fuel pump via the car's wiring? If that is not successful, then you could have issues with with the relay board, the ignition switch, or the wiring to the pump.

I would start by looking at the wire ends at the fuel pump and, if questionable, strip a few mm's of wire and re-attach the connector's.

I have seen this mentioned before in other threads but honestly wiring and electrical are not my strong suit where are pin 30 and pin 87b located and when you say wire just a non-resistance wire like copper?

if you are not comfortable with the terms in the post above, have someone with you who understands the post - I'm not trying to be insulting, but if you really don't understand that you can make a mistake and make matters worse
