Default tow eye bolt same as other P-cars?

I was wondering if the tow eye bolt is the same size as other porsche cars? Does anyone know?

And they are about $20 bucks at the dealer. At least that is what I paid for mine at the dealer.

It's actually a 996 part number these days. Fits tons of cars:

Two questions: where does this screw in, and does this work for the early pre-'85.5 NA cars, too?

odd, I have an 85.5, it didn't come with a tow hook and I don't see a place to attach a removable hook, nor do I see one in PET - are you sure that your info is correct?

Most likely referring to the one that screws into the front bumper.

Hidden front bumper cars only.

That means 944 Turbo, S2 and 968.

I believe some early 924s came with a welded-on front tow eye, somewhere. Perhaps on a crossmember that didn't exist once the engine changed over to the 2.5 (and later 2.7)? It wasn't on the bumper, no idea if it was strong at all or just something used during assembly.

Take care,
