if its in amazing shape (which I assume it is) its worth 25k easy, but keep in mind that despite that, it would still need tons of parts and labor into it before it was ready to be driven again.

I forgot to mention, the 7,000 mile 968 is a convertible with a stick.

Does it have LSD, option code 220? You may have just stumbled on a 30k+ car. What color is it, that has a lot to do with its value?

I don't know if it has Limited Slip differential. The color is dark blue.

Don't know if this is any help as far as a price guide, but for what it's worth - there's a sub-15k mile 968 6-speed convertible in the classified ads of Classic Motorsports magazine (November issue). I want to say it's been in there priced at 20k for the last couple of months but I could be wrong.

The value of 968's is very dependent on its option package and color. Blue is not a a very rare or desirable color so that hurts the value. The 6 speed is nice, but if its non LSD again that hurts the value. If its non m030, hurts the value. Really need to know the option package to give a realistic estimate because it could be anywhere from 15-25k. This is also a car that despite its low production numbers, is not very desirable to most and certainly not a collectible car. Getting top dollar for it will require the perfect buyer, but anyone smart is going to low ball you because they know a car thats been sitting for that long undriven is going to need $$$ to make it reliable. I'd say you could easily get 20k for it if you were willing to sit on it for a bit.

This makes me sad.

When I was 18 years old I worked at a Porsche wrecking yard that saw several low mileage cars (Under 50k) Come through the yard just to get parted. I wound up with a 37,000km 944 on a salvage title.

Not too far from me (about an hour), great deal if all maintenance done.

"What's a 7,000 mile 968 worth?"

It's worth as much as fool who thinks its a classic will pay for it, or
As little as someone who knows these cars can get away with paying for it.

yes it's true statement, this is example like this 944 (http://www.ebay.com/itm/Porsche-944-...#ht_800wt_1399)

This guy is selling as collector's piece but it's already not due just wheels. I don't think 944 is ever be a collector's car but it will go up in price for good condition and rare to find one.
