Anybody with Steve R chips?

I know they rock...the dyno charts tell me that...what I'm wondering about is what the air/fuel chart looks like...preferably using a wide band O2 sensor.
What do i want to do you ask? 15psi street most of the time, occasional 17psi, 12-13psi track. I want to have the perfect a/f curve at 17psi and then be able to adjust the fuel pressure regulator to give me a perfect a/f curve at 15psi as well.
In theory Steve R chips have a good a/f curve...so I would set the "height" of that a/f curve with an adjustable fuel pressure reg...on the dyno I'd go at 17psi...and see how much pressure I need...same at 15...
thanks,
Adrial

Can't help with the AF ratio but I can tell you that the Steve R chips in my son's '89 turbo kick a$$ over the Autothority. These were designed for 18 psi boost and no CAT. With nothing other than the chips, higher boost via banjo bolt, and fuel pressure regulator recommended by Steve, my son's car made 263 HP and 304 ft-lb torque at the wheels. I wish we knew the AF ratio ourselves...

Not to rain on your parade...
but...
<a href="http://www.novustelecom.net/~fkassam/dyno/dyno.html" target="_blank">http://www.novustelecom.net/~fkassam/dyno/dyno.html</a>
autoth. chips make 260 to the wheels at 15-16psi..
Steve R chips do as well...but with much more torque and 10 more hp.
My car when it was getting 18psi in 3rd...registed 267 to the rear wheels on the G-tech. 60-100 in 6.1 to 6.2 in 3rd and 4th gear, starting at 50 and running it through.
edit:
In general I'd like to know more about the a/f curves of Steve R and autoth. and any other chips.. Will I be running lean at any point or are they pretty good? I'd have to go pretty far to get custom chips from someone I can trust.

From those dyno charts, it looks like the SteveR chips achieve the highest power figures. But I like the torque curve of the Cup Car chips. Very good low-end response without the dramatic drop-off that the SteveR and AutoThority chips have. Anyone have a set of Cup Car chips I can buy?

Actually, he had Cup Car DME/KLR computers, which I think came sealed from the factory. Of interest, awhile back his car had a slight detonation problem...the head lifted off the block, pulling all the head studs out of the block in the process. New block...$$$ Don't know enough about it to know if this was directly a result of the Cup Car computers or not.

Who's "he"? Steve R.? I'm also in the market for the Cup software.......

Both chip sets may make similar power, but if you actually drove the two different setups there is no way you would prefer the Autothority. The Steve R. chips are much more driveable on the street.

Yeah, I noticed the Autothority chips were way too rich in the mid-range/partial-throttle response with too much ignition retard. They were actually slower than my stock chips at half-throttle from 3000-5000rpm. Sure, they may work great at full-boost & full-throttle, but the rest of the time, they made the car feel positively sloth-like!
Another problem with the Autothority Stg.2 chip is that they're programmed for the stock turbo with its dropping boost-curve. Once I got a turbo that can hold 15psi all the way to redline, the chips made my air-fuel curve way to lean up top (because they're programmed for 10psi by redline). So... a blown headgasket later, I learned my lesson about Autothority chips...

I sent Steve an email a couple months ago about his chips and he replied that he could not say how they would work using a MAF not made by him. I have a Stage 4 Huntley and when my new engine goes in I have SFR conversion that moves the sensor away from the turbo. Looks like SFR is going to bring chips to the market so I will try them.

I've always wondered about these chips too, both the Steve R AND the Cup car chips- I've never seen them for sale or read anything about them, except for on this board... So, where do you get them?

I think that you need to contact Steve Russakov directly. His E-mail is WYNNCLAIMS@aol.com (I have been waiting for a good excuse to post to this thread
)
When I bought my chip he gave me the green light to post his name and E-mail on the Rennlist, so that is what I am doing ;-). I have heard that he often takes a while to respond to E-mails, so be patient.
I have his S2 chip in my S2 (duh). I am very happy with it. His S2 chip seems to be a favorite among S2 owners, although I have never seen any type of Dyno Comparison like what you Turbo guys have.
