Default Oil pressure senders failing?

Does anyone else seem to not get too much life out of replacement oil pressure senders? I just ordered what must be my 3rd or 4th since 2006 because the readings get erratic after a while. Have tried swapping gauges too to rule that out, not really any success.

I replaced what I think was the original about 8 years ago. The replacement has been working just fine since then.

Do you replace it with the more expensive OEM part or use the budget URO one. Just replaced mine with the OEM but it was 3x the price... hoping it lasts 4x as a long...

I've had 4-944's and never had one fail. Any chance it might be a wiring issue in your harness?

I buy the FAE ones from pelican. Might be wiring, but so far replacing them gives good numbers on the gauge for a while then gets all wonky. Might run new wires for the new sender and gauge this time

I have the OEM one my gauge is pegged at 5 at start up and under acceleration but when car is warm it bounces from 2 to 5. I've had a massive list of parts and work done by a really good (race)mechanic and the car runs really well. Not sure if this is normal.

Took the car for a drive tonight. 50* outside tops. Coolant temps below the first hash so I know the engine (and therefore oil) was running cool. Idle oil pressure warm showed 2.5 bar, but when given any gas would sweep linearly with RPM to 3.5 bar, fall to 3 bar and stay there no matter the RPM. Few minutes later, gauge said 0 at idle and maybe 1 while driving. I'm going to run new wires to the new OPSU and find a spare gauge so it all checks out.
