Roll cage installation
Thought people would like to see some pictures of the roll cage installation in the ChumpCar.
Www.cagethis.com made the kit, so far it's going in very well.

Maybe pull the wire harness and get rid of 40lbs of useless wire.
Also a good time to drill out the ignition key and lock.
Looks good. Keep the pics flowing....

I would have kept that main side door bar more parallel instead of diagonal. Looks like it might be tough to egress quickly in an emergency. Most of the PRO44 guys I race with use three parallel door bars roughly 6-8" apart.

Yes. With an 0.095" wall thickness.
The lower bar is a "sill bar" and then there's going to be a gusseted X for the door protection. Like this:

ive taken the lock cylinders loose, replaced the bolts with alan head style and slid them down so the lock doesnt work, then tighten them back up- leaves the key in place and no ign. lock. I love building race cars! Everything is custom.
