I checked that car out a few years ago, it was in RI at the time. Horrible pinkish/silverish paint job, trashed interior and overall bad shape... all and all a big pile of junk. Looks even worse now. Might be worth $350 as a parts car. Just a heads up in case anyone was interested.
924's are non-interference. 931's have a different head and are interference.
Interesting! I thought that there was a year where the 931 used a non interference engine, was it maybe 1980? I read it somewhere, but don't doubt if it was a mistake or misinformation!
def interference. I can't remember the specifics of why but its a different head to the 924 n/a. And even assembled at Zuffenhausen The most visual difference is the sparkplugs move from the hotside to the cold side but there's a lot more to it than that.
