Eh....more to it than that. For example "interior delete" really has no style, it's more of a track car thing.

You won't see any R-Gruppe or 355 Outlaw cars running around with simply stripping out the interior.

Here are some examples.

Some more examples of style from the RGruppe, Outlaws and others.

One very common factor in all these examples is a level of build quality and attention to detail. Not just stripping out parts or adding a few bolt ons.

I'd love to see a very very basic 944 interior that would still be considered an interior. That is why I started experimenting with the cut off dash. Which, since you are in Colorado and have your dash out maybe we could tent fit it in your car and see how it looks.

Edit....I see you have a dash bar and no climate control system so it probably won't work.

i cut up my dash to fit around the cage. kinda looks like how you cut up your dash. stock gauge cluster hits the bar so i made a custom fiber glass piece to fit round gauges. i might have the dash in by saturday but probably not. lots of sanding to do

If I'm remembering correctly, I think Chads996 cut the dash of his 968-powered S2 project. Has that made an appearance in this thread yet? The white one with the stripes over the top.

if it's the car I'm thinking of it was very nicely done. It was the 2nd car I thought was on the right path to what I was talking about. Clean, but a little too stripped inside.

There are many things I didn't like about this whole car but there are also elements of the interior that were moving in the right direction.

Has anyone tried putting in a race dash but carpeted up to the windshield? Could you do this and still maintain ac, radio, and heat? I was also wondering if anyone has made fiberglass speaker/sub boxes that fit in the back seat wells that could be removed. I think you could have it down to a few plugs that you undo and remove the box. Then you could have rear speakers in the box and removable instead of in the wall.

I am a complete car novice so I could be wrong. This is an awesome topic though.

^^ the sub enclosure has been done before. i would google image "porsche 944 subwoofer" or variants of.

nice pics Cole. I'm starting to think Outlaw is like a period Mulholland-type racer!
