Doug: would a Permatex-style windshield repair kit do the trick?
As for tech, I brought a completed but out-of-region tech form and it wasn't a problem for them. Email Skip for verification, but if that's still okay, your PCA region probably has a couple of shops in your area that will do it for free.

If every thing here checks out, you are good to go.

I had my car pre-teched in SC before last years event. Didn't want to drive that far and find out it wouldn't pass. Glad I did, tires were dry rotted. Pulled in at 815 and iwas on the track by 830. Will do the same this year once I figure out which car to bring. They all seem to be broken down At the moment. Go figure.

Well we should have at least one car to bring this year. Hell - maybe we'll just trade places this year.
Jen's car (Penelope), as you may recall from last year, arrived on the trailer. We pulled the head and found the broken valve spring. A couple of weeks later, she and I drove it in a National level (SCCA) RallyCross and took the top two places in class.
This past weekend, Jen reprised our victory by taking the class win in PR by nearly 20 seconds over her nearest competitor at an event that was held at our farm.
I am hoping to have Stu ready to go and drivable in time. I am still fixing some issues that remain from previous owners.
Here are a few shots of Jen racing...on to victory...

Picked up a 89 S2 with 107K today. Nice car. Will be at 944 fest with it. Travis wants to leave it in the barn. Give me your thoughts. Could. Be a good loaner if you break down. We have plans to track prep it before the fest.

Looking good out there Scott!!
And Brian, that is the official 944Fest beater. Don't get any wise ideas about selling it in the next 3 weeks!!

The parts arrived a few days ago. Let me know how much I owe you.
Making progress. Still have a couple of loose ends that need to be closed out. Should be ready in time for the Fest if all goes to plan.

New 944 owner here. I ordered a tow eye from Justin @ rennbay. He must have noticed my address and clued me in to the event . It is just 45 minutes for me, but I may camp anyway. Looking forward to driving my less-than-perfect 86 N/A down there! No track for me, just hangin'. See you all!

Update: We have pretty close to 100 people signed up to attend so far and more coming in every day. Looks like this is going to be a great year. Good thing I ordered extra Chinese lanterns huh?

I should mention.... local knowledge. There is an absolutely fantastic redneck bar in the area with great food. Any GPS can lead you to "Middlefield Tavern". I know a bunch of other local color spots too. Me, I am a science geek, but I like to have fun too and have investigated the area quite thoroughly.

How about peanut butter on your hotdog? whatever floats your boat fellas. As long as I can find some kind of coffee in the morning, I can live on anything after that.
When do the "gates open"? I'm heading out Fri morning.
