Welcome, buddy! I have a few hundred more to put up after work tonight, I'll post here when they're published.
On another note, what beer should I bring next year, and can I count on you guys to down 10 gallons instead of 8?? :-)

We're addressing a couple typos and broken links, but the Fest story is posted to PorschePurist.com and I'm uploading the last 200 or so photos from the event to the PorschePurist Facebook page! "Like" us if you haven't already, and enjoy the photos.
If you're interested in obtaining some original sized images, send me a PM here or an e-mail at andrew.granieri@porschepurist.com
Thanks, guys! This fest was fantastic and I really enjoyed reconnecting with old friends and making new ones infield!

Andrew, great article. I really like the picture of the back of that awesome red 951.
Travis, thanks for the "Best Modified" award!
Everyone, good to see you all again. We need more engine swaps next year. Let's see an Audi 20V turbo, a TDI, and an electric...

Thanks for hosting the event and great seeing everyone again. I stayed through Sunday, and I almost had a major engine problem on the last run of the day. My engine started shaking and the heat shields started vibrating so I pulled into the pits. While listening to the engine and thinking motor mounts, I heard the balance shaft belt start slapping and shut the engine down. The balance shaft belt snapped, even though the previous owner said the belts were just changed (would now have about 7K on them). I found a new timing belt and balance shaft belt at an import parts store in Harrisburg PA and changed the belts in a hotel parking lot in 95 degree heat. Amazing what you can do with minimal tools when thinking that your S2 timing belt is on borrowed time!

After I fixed the belts I spent a couple days at Gettysburg visiting the battlefield. A couple of my ancestors were in the battle and it was a great history lesson. Overall, the week was great, and I have one less maintenance item to do on my car.

Don't forget to thank our fearless leader - Rennbay!
And Brian and Andy for all the other on-site support.
Now - I have finally had time to get my photos off my camera. Here are a few shots....
Notice the guy without the helmet - he was hauling *** (until he got the black flag). Must have had a lot of important things going on in his head to forget the helmet...
