The Rotor, Cracked
Is this bad? Car is a 1986 NA. Left front.
Attachment 1367442
Will this rotor still give me thousands of miles of service or should I schedule replacement? I've never had this happen before.

i'd replace that.
put it this way. when it breaks, you'll have 3 rotors left. when you'll need to stop, you'll notice the brake pedel is soft and you won't stop until you pump it which you'll be scared to let go of the brakes.

at some point, you will, experience complete wheel lockup and possibly crash.
were such a brake failure occur in the rear at a speed over 25~30 mph, it's highly likely your car will go into a spin.
you should drive the car about 15 mph with your hazzard lights on to the nearest brake shop.
btw, i have a set of 968 front brake rotors at spec worn about 40% of the way through w/ no rust... if anyone is interested.
25 bucks plus shipping.

better yet, order a set of rotors off the internet, get them with some pads shipped to your house and do the brakes in your driveway. only need basic tools....and some beer
