Default How many of y'all have gotten your car stuck?

It was really nice out the other day, about 50°F and I decided to take a bit of a cruise. Anyway, this turned into the first time I've ever gotten a personal vehicle stuck that I needed help getting unstuck. I was getting close but that open differential was kicking my ***.

Anyone else? Let's see those stuck Porsches!

yeah, open diff doesn't help. I got stuck in my neighborhood on level ground. I just put it in 1st and let it idle and I got out and pushed.

Yup, honestly can say that I have yet to get any one of my cars stuck. Gotta get that LSD in that thing man!

Actually, if wrecking your vehicle classifies as stuck, then I have been stuck 3 times. First car I had was a 81 chev Van Rally Series. Rolled it at 35 around a corner suggesting 40mph. It was raining and the *** slid out, I spun trying to correct, hit the curb and flipped on it side. Stuck.

Second was my 86 accord. On my way to go pick up another fixer upper car for a steal of a deal ($1 from my machining school teacher), on the freeway, middle lane, doing roughly 45, when all other lanes are passing me and the 2 cars in front of me. Looked over to see if I could jump over one lane to go around the slow people I was behind, look back in front of me and the guy in front of me was full on the brakes. Hit him. Nothing I could do. Totaled my front end. Stuck.

Third was my 93 Accord. Just got off work. On the same road I work on, some stupid Asian lady decides she is going to attempt to pull out in front of me when I am doing a steady 45 and then chooses to freeze and stop right in front of me. I swerve, bounce off the corner of her back bumper, jump a sidewalk and stop on top of some shrub bushes. Stuck.

Yup. lol

I was in identical predicament as you Bot, no pics, thought for sure I’d be calling AAA, but the LSD and snow tires pulled me out.

With an open differential RWD you can partially engage the parking brake to force power to both wheels.

I thought I was going to get it stuck in a creek last summer. The walk over to the shooting range went down during a storm sometime and me being lazy decided I didnt want to walk across with my guns and gear. Did fine on the way across but it started raining or I found a slightly deeper spot and almost didn't make it. Im pretty sure the LSD kept me from leaving the car in the river.

Never would I consider driving my Porsches in the snow. Pretty hard to get stuck that way.

Came close to it today. Flat tire half a block from home. Realized with my car so low, and a flat, the jack will not fit under the car. I'm putting a small block of wood in the car to roll up on in case it happens out of reach of my house.

I've got land rovers stuck before all most got the 944 stuck in a flat parking lot in the snow last week doing donuts but I was able to rock it out going from 1st to reverse. Not as easy as normal as my 1st gear syncro has seen better days!

The only place any of my Porsches have gotten stuck is traffic.

What are you doing driving a sports car in the snow with summer tires? I thought tires were the most critical thing for driving in snow.

I don't know... it would be fun to get stuck in the mud and have her help bounce the car out of the rut.
