Default Just Cracked My Windshield....Damnit

While trying to replace the wiper blades, The wiper arm slipped out of my hand and smacked the windshield cracking it! Whats the best source to replace this? I have a '86 944 N/A. It has the antenna inside.

I did the same exact thing a few years ago...I went to Safelight. Your insurance should cover it.

Go to Safelight........have them install an early "non" antenna windshield......installed it should be less then $300.......if you have AAA I think the discount will net to around $240.

Or you can have the one with the antenna installed for about $800.

I had the windshield replaced on my '86 a few months ago. It was $300 (no antenna, since it's a track car) and looks fantastic. The installer did a very conscientious and careful job.

Yes......"a windshield wiper arm can do that"

I was installing new wiper blades, the arm slipped out of my hand.....and it put a perfect circular crack about the size of a baseball where the arm impacted the glass.

Not the blade...the arm. I had mine extended while I was changing the blade and the wind blew back into position..looked like a bullet hole.

ALWAYS put towel on your windshield when changing your blades..
