Will do Ernie, thanks for analyzing those ads for me (And you're totally right, it was you who suggested that car, my bad!)

Good to know Medski- I'll have to look into the current exchange rates...

Thanks again to all of you for the suggestions and good advice! My buying experience would be far more intimidating without it.

Now, time to go look at some cars

So, I finally got to see a 924s. Not the one in Vancouver, but a nice little red one in a car lot we happened to drive by. I like it, it had character. My only concern is the long front end, I can see that being a pain to manage. $4000 seemed a little rich for it, though

I emailed the 924s in Vancouver (with the leaky front seal) and asked him a few more things, but the guy keeps dodging my questions and asking me to come see the car. That's enough to tell me it's not worth the 3 hour drive to see.

My Dad was actually able to look at the $3500 944 while he was near Belingham. It was a piece of crap Faded peeling paint, beat up interior, leaky sunroof, and the guy couldn't even find the key to start the car for him- not a good sign. Too bad.

Just going to bide my time and find a nice 944 or e36/e30, I think. I'll post back if I find anything.
