Would this product work on the rear spoiler? Not sure what it's made of but I was just thinking of re-furbishing mine until I purchase the 968 spoiler. If not, has anyone tried repainting their stock rear spoiler and what did you use?

actually this weekend I got another SEM product designed for just that. Sem Trim Black Exterior Paint. It is great stuff for exterior black trim works on plastic, rubber and metal.

I am going to paint my bumperettes and the black strips in the door windows (cab only), my windshield wiper arms and possibly door handles. Dont see why it wouldn't work well on the spoiler.

Will the SEM hold up to the elements if you use it on exterior parts?

The Sem Trim Black Exterior is made for it so I assuming yes. I wouldn't use the color coat although eric951turbo used some leftover he had to paint his garage door weatherstrip and it looks nice so far.

Does anyone know the type of plastic used on the spoiler pieces along the sides hatch and what the spoiler itself is made out of?

after spending many hours sanding off the dead outer layers of vinyl, adding plastic epoxy to fill the cracks, and then using finer grain to smooth it all out... then i followed SEM's kickass tutorial on youtube for final surface prep and changing the hideous grey dash and front trim section to black using the SEM vinyl paint.

now, i need a light grey carpet for the back either like new or new.

anyone know what the light grey color in the back of my car is called ?

Finally I did the SEM Vinyl paint for the lower dash (grey to black) and Vinyl and plastic trim last week. Time consuming prep but easy and it looks perfect. All in costed me about $80 in materials to rid my interior of faded black Vinyl and browned plastic trim. Highly recommended.
