Default Should I fix my N/A then sell...or just sell?

I have a 1985.5 N/A w/ 84k. I have been restoring it for the last 4 years but this summer, it was hit with hail. I received $5500 from insurance and flipped the cash into a 951. Before I purchased the Turbo, I bought a replacement hood that is primed and both fenders...which are in my storage. I have invested thousands in this car and built it for the long haul. My goal was to have one of the nicest 944s in the country. It just got to the point it was becoming a ridiculous investment and I wanted something faster.

SO what should I do...have the parts resprayed then sell it? My guess is about $1700-$2000 to have it completely restored...which is including paintless dent repair. Should I just sell it as is and included the replacement parts? What is it worth?

Here is a list of what I have done to it...in the last 6-8K

1. New stone guards
2. New badge
3. New radiator/Thermostat/fan switch
4. New timing belt/wp/rollers
5. New DME Relay
6. LED cluster lights with chrome rings
7. New clutch slave/master
8. Script handles
9. Cup 2's/spacers
10. Stereo/all new speakers..Alpine/Infinity Kappas
11. Clock bulb
12. Magnacor wires
13. New (4) injectors
14. New Idle Control Valve/mounts
15. New Renbay fuel lines and jumper
16. Lindsey vacuum lines
17. Lindsey silicone coolant hoses/ICV hoses
18. New heater control valve/hoses
19. New fuel regulator
20. New fuel pressure damper
21. Front wheel bearings
22. New power steering reservoir
23. Muffler tip
24. New battery
25. New hatch struts
26. Wilk racing chip
27. New head gasket/valves
28. Oil cooler seals
29. Rear shocks
30. 951 sway bays w/ new bushings
31. New fuel filter
32. New front brakes lines/shoes
33. New distributor cap/rotor
34. Swepco trans oil
35. New headlights
36. New Viper alarm
37. New shift boot
38. New wind deflectors
39. Throttle cam
40. A/C Compressor
41. New Receiver/Drier
42. New windshield
43. 16" turbo phone dial wheels
44. Motor mounts
45. New front struts 12k ago..Sachs
46. Rear shocks..Sachs
47. Factory installed "Porsche" rear light
48. Dash has only very minor hairline cracking by vents...looks perfect from inside.
49. New head lights/ fog lights and all external bulbs

50. Clock works
51. Sunroof gear replaced...works[/B]

I would try and sell it, if you put the 1700 to 2000 in to it you might get 3500 to 4000 and if you sell it the way it sit you would be able to get 2500 to 3000, less time you put into it the more money you make out of it. Plus you could sell the cup 2 wheel Separate and get another 500 or so from them and spacers for 50 to 100. Good luck I hope you get out of it what you need to make it worth getting rid of.

Well that was kind of my line of logic...I will put the Cup2's on the 951 and possibly swap windshields. I may switch dashboards also..and pull the stereo and put in an older Apline unit. Probably the WILK chip also..

I was thinking around $5-6k if it were restored but would be easier to move for $3k. It doesn't look that bad as-is...somebody will get a really nice/sorted car for cheap. Ones with this level of maintenance don't come around too often...with 84k and receipts

I don't think the Wilk chip will fit the 951, you get all the goodess for the 951 and like you said some one gets a great start on a well keeped 944, like handing the torch to some one else. I just put a bid on a Wilks chip hope I win it, I heard that make a big improvement to the 944.

No...I would just sell the chip...it doesnt work in a 951. It makes a pretty significant improvement in a 944.

Still looks like a pretty clean car. I would sell as is. Probably won't re-coup the money of a re-spray.

Not really that bad...compared to the other cars that were on my street. The hood took most of it. There are a few on the roof but the sunroof didn't get any damage.

If someone were to just respray the replacement hood/headlight covers and nose panel..it would look pretty good for cheap.
