Default WTB good-shape door seals

Looking to buy a pair of door seals (the big rubber thingy that wraps all the way around the door itself), not ripped or torn etc. Looking for a cheaper, used alternative before buying new.

Let me know what you've got.

Also, if anyone has a good-shape (less than 5 years old) sunroof panel seal I would be interested in that. Don't feel like shelling out $120 for an oversized o-ring if I don't have to.

Why hasn't somebody come up with a DIY alternative for sunroof seal using some kind of general rubber seal from a hardware store or something?

Spencer, I do have the door seals from my wreck. Turns out I pulled them off and put them in a box. PM me if you want them.

Don't have used but ones but I have been pricing new lately.

Pelican has them for ~$85/ea which, for the only time I can remember, is quite a bit cheaper than what Sunset quoted, which was ~$115/ea.

Like I said, would love to find other options before dropping $300 on 3 giant rubber bands...already blew $120 on a hatch seal...

JohnKoaWood sells a rear hatch seal for 1/4 that price. It is just like OEM as well.

Spencer,

I'm probably going to order new ones from Pelican soon, my current ones are in decent shape if you want to try them. I propose I ship them to you and if they'll work for you then you can pay me what you think they're worth, if not you can reimburse me for shipping?

Sounds like a good arrangement...do they have any tears?

There's one tear on the passenger side but not all the way through. I've got some weatherstripping glue that I think will fix that right up.

I'll place an order with Pelican here in a bit and I'll let you know once they've arrived.

Just my opinion, but you're probably going to be disappointed. 25-year old rubber is 25-year old rubber. Maybe you find a set that's been sheltered from the sun a little more than yours has, but eventually you will be buying the new pieces probably sooner than later. Unless you're planning on selling the car tomorrow. I think this is one of those areas where used parts just don't make sense.
