Default wide band 02 gauge options

One of my list of things to do this winter while the car is stored is to install a wide band O2 sensor guage, I already have a boost guage and hole for another gauge where the PO had the 02 gauge (he kept it when I bought the car)

I am looking for a black face/ black ring guage that is easy to install. My crossover pipe already has a nut that appears will work with a oxigen sensor.

I dont know much about installing these guages so any insite would be appreciated, I know lots of people are running them.

$200 seems to be the prices...is that average or are there deals to be had on these?

If you are only going to be using the WBO2 for AFR readout narrow down your choices by who has the style of gauge you want. I'm not saying go cheap but, I recently went shopping for WBs and noticed that a lot of them had the flashy, bright LED/digital gauges only.

I went with the Zeitronix zt-2 because I want to log other data as well. I chose their LCD readout because it's the least flashy thing they had. A lot of people seem to use the Innovate LC1 WB with the analog gauge. Their gauge has a classier look and Innovate is know for good quality.

Innovate mtx-l.

That crossover location won't work. Too much heat and too much pressure.

I use the Innovate Lc-1 with the analog gauge. It looks really clean with some other Vdo gauges I got. I had to paint the bezel satin black because it came in a silver color, but, it looks great now.

That gauge looks great! So where are people tapping in to the exhaust? Wonder why the PO was using the center of the cross over pipe on his set up

Location of the WB sensor should be approx 12 inches AFTER the turbo or more...

There are also options from Prosport in 52mm or 60mm.. with or without peak hold / warning

Installing a wideband is on on my "to do" list. I'm going for this new PLX: DM-6 Multi Gauge and Wideband Air Fuel Ratio Sensor Module Combo

I hope there isn't a mixup in terminology. The crossover pipe on the 951 is before the turbo, it's not a good location for the wideband. I put my wideband sensor just before the cat.

I need one of these, mainly to know more about my running engine. Do we see an improvement in fuel economy and performance in our cars with WBO2 sensors?

Could be I am likely calling something wrong haha.

The area I am talking about is the center of the pipe that runs between the headers and turbo the existing spot appears to be near the center of this pipe (near where the exhaust runs to the cats. I will take a picture later to show the exact spot.

Between the headers and the turbo is the crossover pipe.. and that is the wrong location for either a WB or NB O2 sensor... the NB should be closer to the turbo, almost next to the engine mount in the pipe maybe 10 inches before the turbo..

Not sure why someone would put either type of sensor in the crossover pipe.. but it is possible you are thinking of the wrong pipe as SOME people have their WB sensor located in the CAT pipe very close to the crossover pipe...

Get a picture and we can take a look at it!
