It also contains a dodgy chinese fuse holder, that will result in a voltage drop(due to loose fitment{grip}of fuse) in the best case and worst case a fire hazard. I have some decent rca's we can use, so you really just need a decent fuse holder(stinger or PG etc) as power cable etc will be fine. The cap will make a nice paper weight but is a waste of time fitting to system
Thanks for the awesome advice mate, greatly appreciated! I thought to get a cap to help take the strain off the battery under bass-loads, but if it's not needed then we won't worry about fitting it. I'll just pop it on ebay to recoup some money, hehe!

You know about all of this stuff far better than I do, so will be guided by your RCA suggestions. As for an in-line fuse holder, avoiding potential fire-issues sounds ideal, LOL! I have a few excellent ones in my electrical spares kit which we can choose from.

If you want more amps from the power supply, id look into another alternator. The Quest Alternator is suppose to be good, small and powerful, And I'm pretty sure you can get more powerful Quest ones that are the same size.

They require a few small mods to get it to fit. popular on the turbos to get larger turbos to fit.

Votes drive that's what these cars were made for. Took mine for a quick blast over to Adelaide in April. Was an awesome drive and perfect car to do it in. Overtaking B doubles in third and hitting boost is an amazing experience, to say the least

Hey al_duderino, I also use Mr Brakes in ballarat (live in sunshine, but do a bit of work in bazza) and have been really pleased with everything they've done for my 944s2 cab. How did your audio install go? I'm busy planning mine and am worried my only option in the cab is a bass tube behind the front seats (I'm short). Did you get to the bottom of what colour yor car is!?!?!

Good to see there's more Aussies in here than we usually see. There's actually some pretty nice 944 cars in Oz. There are a few really nice Concours examples and also some very handy modified track rats.
Some of you guys lurk too much. Come in more often, the water's fine

Well. I've been off the road for a bit but she is back, now I'm searching for a new exhaust system since the rear muffler and cat are cactus and the car sounds like my lawn mower.

I just changed mine to a fabspeed 3inch cat back, and the car is sooo much more smoother. I couldn't use boost in the wet with my old system but now the transition to on boost means I don't just spin the wheels. Sounds awesome too.
Got mine from bestexhaust.com.au

Unfortunately, Bestexhaust don't seem to carry the NA or S2 Exhausts for our cars.
As such, I'm going to be having a Lindsey Racing 3" exhaust sent over - plus the MSDS headers from them as well.
This'll add an O2 sensor and should let me drag a little more out of my 944NA for Targa

Fara,

Had a look at the Lindsay stuff but not sure if those headers and stuff will fit my S. Been to like a billion exhaust places around my area and the quotes are crazy cheap or stupid expensive, I'm not after a race system just want something nice in 2.5" not fussed on stainless as it will be painted black with only the tip chrome so it looks stock.
