Default Water Pumps where is yours from?

Is Zim's still the best place to get a rebuilt water pump? Shop is telling me that new they are $4-500. Seems high last 2 924/944's I have owned they just used a rebuilt pump. Just curious if they are still a stand up product as lately I have seen some bad pumps from Vertex just on rennlist that were just all painted up and nothing changed on them.

I recently purchased a new pump in the form of a kit including everything needed ie gaskets/thermostat/ etc.. From 944 online for a little over $300. I think it's worth the little extra to go new over rebuilt, and was happy with my purchase.

Not fair, I still have to deal with the Porsche power steering crap.

There needs to be an emoticon slipping all over the garage floor covered in PS fluid

Zims is good. There is no factual basis for spending the extra money on a new pump. Do a search on here and you can find that there have been issues reported with new water pump castings.

Banger can get you a good quality rebuilt pump for 125 bucks tops. I have used WP rebuilt pumps the most and have never had an issue.

Also this:

Amazon Amazon

Idk why it says $400, just click below for the different seller. Rebuilt will probably be fine but personally I'm not gunna replace it every 30,000 miles so I prefer new
