actually i would say its responsible young adults like you and some others on here that give young people a good name. im not as depressed about the younger generation any more!

i might even start a new thread on how ive noticed a shift in young people. theres been very few, "how can i make my car faster than a ferarri" threads and more "how can i make my car more reliable/handle better" threads... good on ya!

I bought my car when I was 16 after a ton of saving. I always was a big fan of Porsche and loved the 944. Never touched a wrench in my life, didn't have any mechanical background. Then my timing belt stripped and my car blew up, so using rennlist and some other online resources I managed to rebuild/swap/mod in a 951 engine, learning as I went. Granted I'm 21 now, but it was still quite the experience.

So yeah, I made my car faster than a Ferrari (or at least a lot of the older ones)
