I know someone selling a fully track/race prepped S2 for a very reasonable price. He has it listed on our club's classified page HERE. Scroll down a ways, you'll see it listed for $13,500.

Might consider looking at used 944SPEC cars.. ( http://44cup.com/ ) Yes, it might mean a trailer (or not, depending on the build) but all the "safety" stuff would already be in the car.

Will this be "juniors" daily driver as well or is it a role specific purchase?

Smart, don't touch the S2 cab. I put stupid money into my 84 911 until I just bought already prepared race car. Suggest find out if there is a local shop that supports some of the 944 guys, they might know if anyone is looking to get out, also search the classifieds here, Pelican, NASA Forums, etc

It's actually my old NA....was in very good mechanical shape when I sold it about 5 years back and it looks like the current owner has taken pretty good care of it and done some light track mods....also sounds like he wants out.

I have a friend selling a very nice GTS1 prepped race car. Very nice car with the strongest 2.5L engine that I have driven. Think he wants 7K. Don't buy a beater for 3K, you'll end up putting way too much money into it to make it a track worthy car.
