Value of a 1977 924 Martini Edition?
Hi all,
I recently inherited by grandfather's 77 924 Martini edition. Unfortunately, I am a student and do not have the space, time, nor resources to properly take care of this car. I have been thinking of selling it but am not sure what they are really worth. I have been doing some digging and it seems like regular 924's are not worth a whole lot. I figure since it is a rare car it might be worth a bit more but really don't have any idea about how much. I was offered around $4000 by our neighbor already though. This car is in really good shape for the most part though and it only has about 31000 kms on it. However, as my grandfather got older he forgot to start it every once in a while so it currently doesn't start. It was running fine two years ago though so I think it likely needs some minor maintenance. I was hoping those with more expertise and knowledge of these cars could shed some light on this topic.
Thanks.

This model was my first Porsche and the one that got me so addicted. I will always have a soft spot in my heart for it. I would have to agree with 931guru that $4000 is a lot for the car. Take it.

Considering its one owner history and potential for great condition.. I would spend some time/$$ having the heck detailed out of it.. assess what is/isn't broken and go from there.
Share more pics to get an idea of true condition.
31,000kms, if not turned over, is only some 20,000 miles.
Not that its worth more/same/less, but there was a Red 924 that Brumos was selling for about $7K

I think there is SOME retro pull to the Martini and the Sebring liveried 924 series cars, even if the actual driving experience leave something to be desired.

the very first car i ever drove was a 77 Martini edition 924. i'll have one some day and if i were closer i'd buy yours. i say 4K is a more than fair offer, especially since its currently not starting.
